Class Guildlines

Most classes are to learn a technique. You will not get the project finished in class unless stated. As long as your sewing machine is in good working order and you know how to use it, you will be able to learn the featured technique.


In this class/ Block of the Month you will learn a new machine stitching technique each month, bobbin work, piping, couching, and more. Learn what wonderful things you can do with your machine. After all why did you get a machine with more than 1 stitch? Start with block #1, on the last Sat. of the month, April or June. Check calendar for dates, then jump in with the rest of the group on the 3rd. Sat. each month.

Make your own class. What do you need help with? Learning how to use your sewing machine, getting started with garment sewing, help with a pattern or maybe a little bit of everything. Carol will help you with a technique or just figuring what to do next. Supplies depend on your project. You must preregister before class.

Pat M will be your guide, she will offer help and information to get you started. Then continue as needed to learn more advanced techniques, such as ruler work. You will be able to network with other quilters to find out what works and what doesn't for them.

Sally will teach you her method of applique by hand. Learn how to prepare the applique shapes on freezer paper and stitch onto the background.This door banner will add a fresh look to your back door. Finished size 11-1/2in x 30in

Enjoy stitching up these sweet little zippered pouches. They feature a quilted base for stability and a see-through vinyl top so you can say “hello” to all your treasured trinkets. Pattern includes instructions to make all four sizes.

Let your young adults (8 & up) learn to sew while making a row for a quilt on maybe just a runner. There are 5 rows total.Twice a month on the 2nd & 4th Saturday they can learn something new or continue working on a project they started in a previous class. They can start in class and finish at home with an adult. Once all five rows are pieced they can continue on the make a quilt. $15.00 for each 2 hour session.

In this class you will learn the basics of paper piecing while making a star block or two. Use the star blocks to make a Sewing Machine Mat or Zippy Pouch in a second additional class. (See schedule.)

Be part of the worldwide program to encourage sewing. 6 one-day classes, beginning the week of June 11, excluding the week of July 2, finishing the week of July 23. You choose 1 or all 6. Classes are $5.00 each plus kit. Sewing machines available to use for a small fee. Scissors, rotary cutters, mats & rulers provided. Grab a friend, get out of the house and learn to sew. Our classroom is open most Tuesdays from 10:30-4:30, check calendar. Open to everyone. Would you like a lesson? Do you need to learn how to operate your machine, figure out how to do a technique or learn quilting basics? We will have a staff member ready to help you. Lessons 11:00- 1:00 $10.00 per session.

Would you like to design your own quilt blocks, applique or quilts? Learn how to find the tools, libraries & work tables to create your own one of a kind quilts. Pat M. will show you how to design & color your projects. Once you have you project designed you can print yardage, rotary cutting, templates or paper piecing foundations. You name it - you can do it!

Monthly Happenings

Grab a project and come on in the 5th Friday. We’ll have mexican food and you can sew from 4:30-9:00 pm. The cost is only $8.00. You must R.S.V.P.

Would you like to go further into the world of EQ? Learn features such as importing fabric, drafting yur own applique, adding text and or applique to a project and much more. Each month Pat will feature a new topic.

Demo with Q&A session. Usually the last Sunday every month. Check calendar for dates. We will also have special pricing on dies that day.

Most every Friday our classroom is open for you to sit and stitch. $5.00 refundable with a minimum $5.00 purchase.

Grab a project and come on in the 2nd & 4th Fridays. We will have pizza, salad & pop, and you can sew until 9pm. The cost is only $8.00. You must R.S.V.P. on Friday by 2pm. 4:30 - 9:00 pm.

This is like a mini retreat. Bring in a project or 2 and sew without interruption for 3 days or only 1 if that's all you can get away for. For weekday camp we provide light breakfast in the morning & lunch. For weekend camp we provide dinner on Friday & Saturday, lunch on Saturday & Sunday & light breakfast on Saturday. So take some time for friends and sewing. $30.00/3 days or $12.00/a day. $30.00 for all 3 days or $12.00 a day.

Each month we will demo either some new (or old) gadgets, a different technique or what's new in the quilting world. If there is something you would like to see, please call us with suggestion.
